The water rescue boats from Rugby Fire Station were called to help with an emergency situation in Bidford on Avon this week.
Warwickshire Fire Service received an emergency call at 12.25pm on Wednesday reporting that there was a sinking boat with people on it in distress on the river in Bidford on Avon.
At 12.37pm it was reported there had been a collision on the river between two long boats. Three people and two dogs were still on board the boats and needed rescuing.
Fire crews from Bidford and Alcester were called to the scene as well as the rescue boats from Rugby station.
Both were freed from the river by a farmer.
The Fire Emergency Support Service also attended.
All crews had returned to station by 4pm.
