Rugby woman sheds three stone on Arriba! Community Weight Loss Challenge after decision on ‘drastic action’

SUPER slimmer Sam Gibson had tried all the diets under the sun without success.

That is until she discovered Arriba! Community Weight Loss Challenge.

Sam, of Wise Grove, Rugby, has now lost a total three stone, lost 24 inches and dropped three dress sizes.

She said: “Now I’m heading for fit and 40, not fat and 40!”

Sam decided to take drastic action on New Year’s Day.

“I suddenly realised that I was going to be 40 towards the end of next year and there was no way I wanted to be fat and 40.

“Over the last 20 years I have tried everything - you name it, I’d tried it. Although a few times I had successfully lost weight I never managed to keep it off for long.

“Then a friend mentioned Helen Childs who was running an Arriba! Community Weight Loss Challenge.

“I hadn’t heard about it but decided to go and meet Helen to see what I thought.”

During her first challenge she lost 24lbs over the 12 weeks and was among the ‘top losers’.

She said: “One of the incentives is that there are cash prizes for the biggest three losers (of percentage weight lost in relation to starting weight) of £300, £200 and £100 which made it more exciting.”

Sam is setting up classes at Rugby Methodist Centre which get under way on September 13 at 7pm.

The course costs £39 for 12 weeks. Telephone (01788) 562375 or 07515 651536 for information.
