What started out as a sponsored slim to help abandoned animals, led to a Rugby slimmer shedding two-and-a-half stone.

Debbie O’Dell began her sponsored slim to raise money for Rugby Pawprints last January.

Debbie said: “I am very passionate about supporting this charity as without their compassion and commitment to rescuing animals, my dog Tango wouldn’t be alive.

“He was only a few weeks old when he was found and was in such bad condition but Rugby Pawprints nursed him back to health before we adopted him.”

Debbie lost two-and-a-half stone and has now trained as a Slimming World consultant.

The slimming group meet at Brownsover Community School Webb Drive on Thursdays at 7pm.
