Pupils at English Martyrs Catholic Primary School are making sweet music thanks to a donation.
Staff at Sainsbury’s Local in Hillmorton gave £200 to the school so they could expand their recorder group.
Christina Johnson, who works at the store, said: “We are very passionate about supporting local schools and organisations in any way we can. Over the past year we have made donations to Rugby Paw Prints and Hope 4 who we collected for at Christmas with donations of food. We also donated hampers for the locals schools summer and Christmas fetes.”
And the children are delighted with their ten new recorders.
“They all wrote lovely letters of thanks,” added Christina.
The store will choose its new charity of the year next month.
