Santa Claus did come to town ... well, 250 of them to be precise!
The 5km race started at the hospice in Myton Lane and followed a route around St Nicholas Park – and there wasn’t a reindeer in sight. The charity held a similar event in Coventry last month and together the dashes have raised more than £20,000 in pledged sponsorship.
Myton’s events manager Charlotte Ingram said: “This was a fantastic morning and the atmosphere was brilliant and very festive.

As well as the main race, children were invited to enter a 50m dash wearing their best Christmas outfit. These included five-year-old Reece Kelleher who was dressed as an elf and five-year-old Harry Parsons who raised over £100 in sponsorship for taking part.
Participants for the main race included a team from the Windmill pub in Leamington led by Michelle Ramsay and Gareth Griffiths who completed the route in a strappy Mrs Santa Claus dress.
