Charity RoSA has received £4,700 to fund support programs for victims of sexual violence in Rugby and the surrounding area.
The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.
RoSA offers confidential counselling, psychotherapy and continuous support to men and women aged five years upwards who have been victims of rape, sexual violence or historical sexual abuse.
Sonia Egan, agency director at RoSA said: “The grant from the Santander Foundation is a tremendous help and will enable us to reach out to more victims and help empower them to rebuild their lives.”
Gregory Rowlands, branch manager at Santander in Rugby, said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and
we are delighted to be supporting RoSA, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”
