Saxon Fields Farm's new arrival named after rugby player Rob '˜Yoghurt' Walton

Saxon Fields Farm Shop and Tea Room, in Lilbourne Road, Clifton Upon Dunsmore, has welcomed two goats to its array of animals.

Kym Lawson, who runs the tea room, decided to name one of the kids ‘Yoghurt’ after rugby player Rob Walton, who carried the nickname throughout his sporting career and played alongside Kym’s son, Karl.

Rob was killed after being hit by a giant wave on holiday in France with his wife and four children last year.

Kym said: “My son played with him during the re-birth season which culminated in a cup final at Twickenham. My son and the team thought the world of Rob, who raised the phoenix out of the ashes for Rugby Lions.

“I for one am proud that he took the club to Twickenham and gave my son and the club the chance to play on hallow turf, so it was a privelage to name one of the goats Yoghurt.” Visitors have the chance to name the other kid and the winner will receive free afternoon tea for two.
