SCHOOL BUS CRASH UPDATE: Six people injured and police appeal for witnesses

SIX people, including three teenage pupils, were injured during a crash this morning (Friday) involved two buses and a car in Kites Hardwick.

The crash happened as a school bus, a public bus and a silver Vauxhall Astra, were all travelling towards Dunchurch on the Southam Road through Kites Hardwick at around 8am.

The bus went into the back of the school bus and the Astra flipped over and landed in a ditch.

Three schoolchildren were treated for minor injuries including cuts and whiplash and taken by ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment, along with one of the male bus drivers who had suffered an ankle injury.

The remaining bus driver and the male driver of the silver Astra suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
