KIND-HEARTED pupils at Ashlawn School raised hundreds of pounds for the air ambulance.

A group of students travelled to Baginton near Rugby where the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance is based to present the crew with a cheque for £1,459.43.

The money was raised through the production of the Ashlawn School Variety Performance and topped up by a non-uniform day.

The students visiting the airfield were given the chance to sit in the pilot’s seat, meet the crew and learn about the vital service the helicopter provides. It is entirely run on charitable donations.

The school thanked everyone who helped raised the money.
