School’s delighted with its green tinge green about saving earth

CHILDREN at Newburgh Primary School have proved their green credentials again by being awarded their third Eco-School Green Flag.

The school in Kipling Avenue, Warwick, was honoured for its environmental awareness and projects on green issues in the awards scheme, which include recycling, biodiversity and reducing waste.

Pupils have also learnt about new ways of heating schools, how to save energy and water and organised assemblies, campaigns and fundraising activities to support their learning and understanding of their environment.

Headteacher Andrew Smith said: “I am immensely proud of the children and staff involved in working so hard to achieve this award.”
