Dig out your oven gloves and dust down your pinnies for the great Braunston Bake Off.

A fun competition is being organised to try and get more people baking, while raising money for All Saints’ Church in Braunston.

It takes place on June 11.

Organiser Laura Cooper, said: “We have rosettes, prizes and a star baker trophy.

“Some of my fondest childhood memories involve baking and I think it’s important children have these too.”

There’s a trophy for Best in Show. Class 1 - Trimbake Puddings - make a pudding of your choice using trimbake; Class 2 - Sweet Summer - a sponge cake that tastes of what summer means to you; Class 3 - Best of British ages 12 to 18 - A plain sponge decorate using the theme ‘Best of British’; Class 4 - Mini Bakers under 12’s - make six cupcakes.
