The dates for this year’s Rugby Festival of Culture have been announced.

The event, now in its fourth year, will take place from Friday June 27 until Sunday 13 July across the town.

The festival, supported by Rugby First and Rugby Borough Council, provides a platform to showcase Rugby and the surrounding area’s rich and diverse culture, including music, dance, art, theatre, comedy, poetry, literature, walks, food and drink.

Organisers of the event are keen to hear from any organisations, groups, individuals or businesses that would like to get involved or support the festival.

Last year the festival attracted more than 8,000 visitors to over 100 events.

Aftab Gaffar, managing director of Rugby First, said: “The festival is now well established in the town centre’s events calendar and continues to increase in popularity. This year we will continue to develop the festival and introduce new ideas that will keep it fresh, exciting and attract even more visitors.”

Mr Gaffar added: “As the festival audience has grown so have the advertising and sponsorship opportunities. We have a variety of flexible packages to suit all budgets and meet your business needs – please get in touch to find out more.”

A free ‘Rugby Festival of Culture’ guide highlighting all the events will be available in early June from Rugby Visitor Centre and local businesses.
