Slideshow: enthusiastic youngsters get stuck into woodland activities at south Warwickshire wood
An appreciation of traditional woodland skills was gained by all who spent time at Oakley Woods in Bishops Tachbrook on Saturday as a day to celebrate such craftsmanship was held.
The Friends of Oakley Wood and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust organised their third annual woodland crafts day, which included horse logging and woodwork demonstrations and ‘Bio Blitz’ wildlife-themed activities.
Carl Curtis, reserve and community and engagement manager for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, said: “What a wonderful day. The Bio Blitz activities were very enthusiastically taken up and a lot of people signed up to take part in working parties.”
