A group of determined slimmers have set up a charity run in place of the town’s Race for Life.

Slimming World Rugby and Southam has organised the fundraiser which will be held on Sunday.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the race which starts at 11am at St Andrew’s Rugby Club in Ashlawn Road.

Men and children are welcome to join in and there is no registration fee.

Donations will be collected on the day and there will also be a well-supported raffle.

Consultant Amanda Blanchard said: “We are really excited - Rugby has no Race for Life this year, so we proudly support Cancer Research UK with this event.”
