SMOKE no Smoke beat off tough competition to pick up the first prize in the annual Best Dressed Christmas Window competition.
Smoke-no-Smoke, in Regent Street, selling high end electronic cigarettes (E-cigs), only opened its doors for business in February this year.
The business will receive a cup for its efforts in creating a fantastic festive display as part of the competition, organised by Rugby First and judged by the Mayor of Rugby, Cllr Kathryn Lawrence.
More than 30 businesses took part in the competition, with Feathers and Fluff picking the runners up prize and highly commended awards going to, Martanne, Salters and Halsey’s Opticians, winners in 2011.
Jim Lacey, managing director of Smoke no Smoke (UK) said: “I’m delighted to win the competition in what will be our first year of business in Rugby. The value of window displays cannot be under estimated – they attract customers and are very often crucial in drawing customers through the door. We work hard on our displays throughout the year so it is particularly pleasing to win this award.”
Cllr Kathryn Lawrence said: “It’s fantastic to see so many businesses getting involved with the festive competition. The displays are extremely creative and of a very high standard and I congratulate all those businesses that took part. There’s no doubt in my mind that the displays really add to the whole Christmas shopping experience and I would encourage shoppers to take a few minutes to look at them when next in town.”
