Solid start to Cemex’s bulb planting project

Cement producer Cemex has purchased £300 worth of daffodil bulbs to be planted at a Southam park.
The Mayor of Southam Cllr Jason Ward was over-seeing the start of a bulb planting exercise on the recreation ground on Wednesday. CEMEX have purchased £300 worth of daffodil bulbs and over a tonne of bulbs were planted. The Mayor is seen with Andy Spencer from CEMEX. The first part of the exercise at the recreation Ground off park Lane and Watton’s Lane was undertaken by a team from CEMEX’s Sustainability Department as part of the company’s Lend-a-Hand volunteering scheme. Southam mayor Jason Ward and members of the Southam Gardening Club were also at the planting.
