Spate of burglaries in Rugby

There has been a spate of burglaries and attempted break-ins across Rugby.

At some point before 2.30pm on Wednesday April 9, criminals tempered with a pane of glass at a home in Perkins Grove, Rugby, in an attempt to get into the house. They failed to get in and nothing was stolen.

Between midnight and 9am on Thursday April 10, offenders entered a home in Fisher Avenue, Rugby and stole an IPad and the keys to a vehicle. The offenders then used the keys to steal the vehicle from outside.

At 4.15am that day, the resident of a home in Newbold Road, Rugby was woken by the sound of a loud bang. The resident investigated and discovered that a light was on and the front door of the house was open. Nothing is believe to have been stolen.

Between 8pm and 10pm on Friday April 11, intruders smashed the kitchen window of a home in Sheriff Road, Rugby and entered the premises. Once inside, the offenders carried out a search before making off with a quantity of Asian gold jewellery.

The same day, between 7.30 and 10.45pm, burglars broke into a home in Hillmorton Road, Rugby and ransacked the property before making off with the spare key to a 60-plate BMW vehicle. They then used the key to steal the vehicle from outside.

Again on the same evening, offenders broke a window at another home in Abbey Street and entered the property. They ransacked household items before making off with cash and items of jewellery.

And at some point before 9.20pm on Saturday April 12, offenders smashed the conservatory doors at a home in Linnell Drive, Rugby and then entered the premises. Once inside, the offenders stole several items, including a set of house keys.
