AWARD-WINNING Newman Estate Agents in Rugby has welcomed a new member of the team.

Spencer Blake has been appointed as an associate estate agent at the Rugby office to complement the existing staff at the Regent Street branch and signal the brand’s continued expansion.

Sean Newman, chairman of Newman’s, said: “I am delighted that we can welcome Spencer back to the team, as his dedication, experience and customer focus will continue to move Newman forward.”

Newman has won notable national awards in recent years including the Gold Award for ‘Best Customer Service’ and the Gold Award for ‘Best Medium Midlands Estate Agency’ in the 2010 Sunday Times Estate Agency of the Year Awards.

This was a driving factor behind Spencer accepting the position.

On his appointment, Spencer said: “I am extremely enthusiastic about the position as I truly believe that the marketing, technology and customer service are superior to any competitors in the marketplace, not to mention that the team already demonstrate great customer service to their clients, which still keeps it primarily a people business.”

He added: “Some agents can easily lose sight of this.”

Spencer has worked in the industry for 21 years, entirely in Rugby. He has also lived in Rugby all his life so feels qualified in providing an accurate assessment of the local market.

While the market has toughened in recent years this has enabled the most proactive agents to come to the fore and more than ever, choosing the agent with the right marketing with tools such as showcasing property in regional magazines and an effective open house strategy, has never been more important.
