A panel of people drawn from the school, including the head boy and girl, pictured above, were joined by the Vicar of St Peter and St John, the Rev Sheila Bridge, and Deputy Mayor of Rugby, Sally Bragg, to do the all-important judging last Friday afternoon.

There was also chance for pupils, parents and friends to sample the goodies and help raise funds for the PTA as well.

PTA chairman Kirsty Goodman said: “It was a great success. It’s the first time we have held an event like this. We had lots of entries and some amazing cakes were entered.”
