Sustainability manager for UHCW Trust Clive Robinson said: “We strive to continually improve the experience of customers using bus services to get to and from St Cross.

“We hope the new location of this stop will make getting into the hospital easier and safer, therefore giving patients and visitors a better experience.

“The trust supports sustainable travel solutions that improve health.

“One full bus takes 60 cars off the road, which improves air quality, improves physical activity and reduces noise, whilst improving health and wellbeing.”

Sue Hillman, chairperson of the Rugby Disability Forum, pictured front, with representatives of the trust, the county council and Travel de Courcey said: “The bus stop is a lower stop which is easier for disabled patients.

“At the Rugby Disability Forum we promote accessibility for disabled people and if more bus stops were like this I would use them more often.”
