St George’s Day celebrations will return to Rugby town centre on Saturday April 19.

The annual event, one of the biggest in Warwickshire, will take place in Sheep Street and High Street between 11am and 3pm.

Hundreds of people are expected to join in with the celebrations.

Attractions will include a craft fair, birds of prey, Punch and Judy, face painting, a magic show, bouncy castle, tea cup ride, Easter egg hunt, food stalls, motor cycles and much more.

There will also be an appearance from ‘St George’ on his horse, as well as music from the cadet band and a children’s entertainer.

Rugby First, which is organising the event, is encouraging businesses to take part in its window dressing competition.

Last year it was won by Flowers by Pauline in Regent Street.

A trophy will be presented for the best display.
