A whole host of medieval- themed activities are lined up to take place in High Street and Sheep Street on Saturday, April 23.

Patriotic revellers can expect to see St George on his horse, as well as birds of prey, a shop window competition and a wide array of street entertainment.

There will also be an archery stand, armour display and youngsters can find out what it takes to become Knights of the Round Table, with the chance to show off their skills at the end of the day.

Rugby First has organised this year’s proceedings and hope the celebrations will give a boost to the town.

Managing director Aftab Gaffar said: “Events like this are extremely popular especially with families and children. Not only do they provide a great day out but they also raise the profile of the town centre, increase footfall and encourage spend which means it is a ‘win-win’ for businesses and customers alike.”

The activities will take place between 11am and 3pm. For more information, go to: www.rugbytowncentre.co.uk
