STABBING UPDATE: three men released on police bail after man found wounded in Albert Street

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an incident which left a man with serious chest injuries.

Five men were arrested on Thursday night following the incident in Rugby in which a 32-year-old man was stabbed.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm at a house in Craven Road where two men were involved in an altercation with four occupants.

Three men are believed to have left the house and walked into Railway Terrace and then into Albert Street and police would like to hear from anyone who saw them.

The injured man was found in Albert Street with three stabs wounds to his chest and shoulder.

He was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where he is being treated for his injuries.

Five men were arrested in connection with the incident. Two have since been released without charge, and the other three have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
