A BILTON teenager is thrilled after raising £243 for a charity close to his heart.
Charlie Andrews, 17, rounded up a group of his friends to spend the day fundraising in Rugby town centre dressed as superheroes.
They collected a total of £243 which will all be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Charlie, who lives in Bilton and goes to Lawrence Sheriff School, said: “It’s a very personal charity to us. My uncle suffered from it and died because of the illness. So in my family it means a lot to us.”
Charlie thanked the public for their donations.
He said: “I’m thrilled. It’s so much more than I ever expected.
“Everyone was very generous. I’m so pleased.”
