More than 200 excited shoppers flocked to the opening of Rugby’s new H&M store this morning.
The team handed out 25 per cent off wristbands and goodie bags to those who had been queuing outside ready for the 11am launch.
The store stocks a wide range of clothes and accessories for men, women and children.
H&M staff entertained the crowds with a special opening dance to Fleur East’s new signle ‘Sax’.
Jennifer Irvin, from Rugby, was the first person to enter the new Elliott’s Field store after arriving at 8.30am.
“The new shops are great for Rugby and it’s nice to have plenty of choice,” she said.
“I’ve just come to have a look around today and thought it was best to come early in case it was really busy.
“Elliott’s Field looks great, my only concern is the parking. It seems a bit limited for the amount of people coming here but the shops are brilliant.”
Jennifer’s daughter, Susan, joined her in the queue after dropping her children off at school.
She said: “I’ve come to buy Christmas presents for my family and make the most of the special offers.”
H&M Warwick manager Rob Dodd helped coordinate today’s launch.
He said: “The Rugby store looks absolutely amazing and I know people have been really excited about the opening.
“We have a team of 18 here so it’s great to be able to create jobs and give people the chance to shop in a store that can cater for all sizes and budgets.”
Young visitors were entertained by special guest Peppa Pig, who will be at the Leicester Road site until 4pm.
