A Rugby woman is preparing to show off her make-up skills at the 2016 Midlands Fashion Awards.
Lydia Noble, 20, has been named as a finalist in the Make-up Artist of the Year category.
The competition attracts entries from all over the world - including Poland, America, Italy and India - as well as people from across the West Midlands.
And organisers have revealed that this year saw the highest number of entrants in the competition’s history, making Lydia’s achievement all the more impressive.
She will now join other finalists at a catwalk event in Birmingham and show off her make-up skills in an effort to win the top prize.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Lydia said: “I am really excited to have been shortlisted as a finalist make-up artist in the Midlands Fashion Awards.
“I love fashion so can’t wait to see the designers collections and complete their looks with flawless catwalk-ready make-up.
“I am also looking forward to meeting and working with other finalists and artists from across the Midlands and meeting the judges.”
Jenny Eason, who founded the Midlands Fashion Awards, said: “We’ve seen so many previous winners go on to develop their own careers, and we’re proud to have been a starting point for them.
“We’re giving creatives a chance to excel in their field as well as on their home turf.”
The finalists will have their work assessed by a panel of judges at the catwalk show on Friday, October 7, before the overall winners are revealed.
