Thieves target cars and homes across Rugby

Rugby residents warned to be vigilant after cars and homes are targeted by thieves across town.

Between 9am and 1pm on Tuesday this week a house was broken into in Parkend, Rugby. Thieves smashed the kitchen window and two Xbox consoles were stolen along with a Samsung Galaxy tablet.

A radio and cd player were stolen from a Renault Clio parked in Thomson Close, Rugby between 5pm on January 5 and 8.30am on January 6.

Between 6pm on January 1 and 4pm on January 2 thieves targeted a Ford Mondeo parked in Coniston Close, Brownsover. A Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone was stolen.

Four hub caps were stolen from a Citroen Picasso parked in Cawston Lane between 6 and 7.30pm on January 4.

Thieves attempted to break into a house in Langdale Close in Rugby before 11am on January 1 but they didn’t get in and nothing was taken.

Electrical items and a camera were taken from a vehicle parked in Queen Victoria Street at around 3.30pm on December 28.

The thieves were disturbed by a member of the public and ran off.

Residents are being reminded to removed all items from vehicles, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
