Party goers have helped raise thousands of pounds in memory of popular Hillmorton teenager Joel Smith.

The £3,879.95 is being donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust after the 15 year old lost his fight against leukaemia earlier this year.

His aunt, Hayley Hammond, started organising Party in the Park Reloaded with Joel before he tragically passed away.

It took place at Whitehall Rec and included X Factor favourites Kingsland Road.

Hayley said: “I am still in shock over the amount of support we received from the community of Rugby, as well as the local businesses like Rugby Benevolent Fund, Rugby FM, Thornton Robson and of course the Rugby Advertiser.

“We are all over the moon with the total raised from Reloaded. It gives me so much motivation to raise even more when we start planning Rugby Reloaded 2015.”
