THREE people were taken to hospital following a crash near Ansty last night (Sunday)
Emergency services were called to the A46 near to junction two of the M6 shortly after 7.45pm. Three ambulances and a senior paramedic officer attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a van which had been in collision with a car.
“The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, had reportedly been knocked unconscious and had suffered head and chest injuries in the crash. The passenger, a woman in her 40s, sustained a suspected head injury and hip injury.
“Both were assessed and treated by crews at the scene and immobilised with neck collars and spinal boards before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
They added: “The driver of the car, a woman, was checked over by crews and taken to the same hospital as a precaution.”
