Tributes left at site of fatal car crash in Leamington

Flowers and messages in tribute and sympathy have been left at the scene of the crash in which three people died in Leamington on Saturday.

A Coventry City football shirt has also been left at the spot on Radford Road, near to the junctions of Willes Road and Eastnor Grove where A blue Citroen Saxo travelling out of Leamington on the A425 is believed to have left the road and collided with a tree at around 2.45am.

A 23-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman received fatal injuries in the collision and died at the scene.

They have yet to be named as formal identification is still to take place.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

He has been released on bail.

A 21-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, where his injuries have been described as stable.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of their investigation.
