Two men arrested on suspicion of burglary in Cawston

POLICE in Rugby have arrested two men on suspicion of burglary.

The men were arrested on Friday on suspicion of burglary which includes the burglary of a garage overnight on Sunday into Monday last week in Cawston where a motorcycle was stolen.

Police are also appealing for witnesses after burglaries in Shakespeare Gardens and Alwyn Road.

The burglary at the house in Shakespeare Gardens happened at around 7pm on Wednesday (December 5).

A silver Ford Mondeo was seen nearby with three men inside, aged late teens to early 20s.

Another vehicle which police are keen to locate is a silver Vauxhall Vectra with a registration similar to P18PKT which has been seen in the area.

Earlier that day there was a distraction theft in Alwyn Road at around 11am where a men going door to door selling stole a handbag from an elderly residents.

The offender was white, aged 50s, large build, wearing black clothing hat and gloves and carrying a black holdall. He stated he was selling household items.
