Two necklaces stolen from woman as she walks home in Rugby

A woman was walking home along an alleyway between Hillmorton Road and Featherbed Lane when she was attacked by a man who stole two necklaces.

The woman was wearing both necklaces, one gold and black Mangala Sutra which is a symbol of marriage and one gold, when she was approached by a man who pulled them from her neck and ran off.

She was not injured, but was very distressed.

The offender is described as a white male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, of medium build and wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up and grey trousers.

PSI Ian Stockwell would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and can help identify the male.

He would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale, or is aware of it being offered for sale.

The incident happened at about 5.45pm on Friday July 12.
