A popular jewellery retailer and a large discount store are the latest additions to Rugby’s high street.
Jewellery brand Pandora will opening a store on the corner of High Street and Chapel Street. The company is yet to confirm the opening date of the new branch.
The store will sell a range of necklaces, rings, charm bracelets and much more.
Shoppers looking for a good deal will have plenty to choose from at a new discount store.
Home Bargains has taken over the former Morrisons supermarket site on Westway and plans to open on November 7.
The store sells a range of homeware items, toys, appliances, food, drink, sporting goods and accessories.
Aftab Gaffar, managing director of Rugby First, said it was great news for the town.
“The Rugby World Cup and the Enjoy Rugby Festival has helped to put the town on the map and has helped retailers and shoppers see what a great shopping destination it is,” he said.
“It is encouraging to note that the town centre continues to attract new businesses, with Home Bargains and Pandora being the latest stores wanting to set-up in the town.
“This will ensure the town remains a viable shopping destination and help retain spend.”
Aftab continued: “Despite out of town competition, Rugby Town Centre continues to do well with vacancy levels well below the national average.
“New Businesses continue to open and show interest in a town that is evolving with a strong offer that provides customers a variety high quality shops with its rich and diverse café culture catering for everyone’s needs.”
Elliott’s Field recently announced its official opening date.
Although many of the retail park’s stores are already open, the Mayor of Rugby, Cllr Richard Dodd, will be cutting the ribbon at the official launch on Saturday, November 28.
H&M will officially open its doors on Thursday, November 26 and there will be 25 per cent discount wristbands available for the first 200 shoppers, as well as goody bags.
Youngsters will have the chance to meet Peppa Pig at the event and parents can enjoy samples from stores and restaurants at the park.
Stores at Elliott’s Field include Marks and Spencer, Next, Debenhams, Outfit, Fat Face, River Island, Clarks, H&M, Nando’s, Ed’s Easy Diner, Caffe Nero, Halfords, and TKMaxx.
