Two Rugby women arrested in relation to car key burglaries

Two women from Rugby were arrested last week on suspicion of being involved in car key burglaries.

Police said a 32-year-old woman from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit car key burglaries and a 43-year-old woman from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to be concerned in the involvement of car key burglaries.

The women were arrested on August 25 after police spotted a BMW they suspected of being stolen on a driveway on Heather Close in the Overslade area of Rugby.

Following enquiries at the scene, a Ford transit van suspected of being stolen was also located close to the property and both vehicles were seized.

The women have been bailed until the beginning of October while investigations continue.
