UPDATE: Further appeal for witnesses after Rugby shooting

Warwickshire Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward following the shooting of a 17-year-old male and a knife attack on an 18-year-old man on Thursday March 17 at a property in Oxford Street, Rugby.

The two victims are said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

The police cordon which was in place in the area was released yesterday evening (Friday March 18). The cordon which was in place on Oxford Street and Argyle Street into the junction of Cambridge Street was lifted at approximately 7pm.

A scene guard remains in place at the property on Oxford Street and on the access road immediately behind the property leading to Claremont Road.

Detectives continue to appeal for information from anyone using the access road leading into Claremont Road and Tom Brown Street towards the town centre at around 9pm on Thursday March 17 to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 447 of March 17 2016.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Hill said: “We are appealing to people who were in the area at the time who may have vital information on this crime to come forward.
