Two new stores opened at Elliott’s Field in Rugby today.
The new Elliott’s Field store opened its doors to customers for the first time today (Wednesday, November 18), with shoppers from across Rugby queuing to take a first look around the new store.
Store Manager Charlotte Hayes had the traditional honour of cutting the ribbon to officially open the store, alongside M&S Chairman Robert Swannell and the store team.
Following the official opening at 10am, shoppers were invited to peruse the 42,000 sq ft. store which features Womenswear, Menswear, Kidswear & Baby, Lingerie and Beauty departments.
The store also includes a 9,600 sq ft. Foodhall and an in-store Bakery, with a range of speciality breads, pastries and cakes freshly baked in-store each day.
Shoppers were also able to relax in the 133-seat M&S Café and enjoy hot and cold seasonal dishes, tempting desserts, sandwiches and an extensive selection of drinks, including Fairtrade tea and coffee.
Charlotte Hayes, Store Manager at M&S Elliott’s Field Retail Park, said: “After working hard to prepare the store for its launch, we were thrilled to open our doors at Elliott’s Field Retail Park this morning. It was extremely exciting for us to see crowds of shoppers at the opening, all eager to check out what the new store has to offer.
“We’re confident that our increased quality offering and exciting new shopping experience, along with our in-store Bakery and 133-seat Café, will appeal to local customers, as well as those from surrounding areas, and the store is a great addition to retail park. I’m looking forward to welcoming more new and familiar faces through our doors in the coming months.”
Amy Lewis, a Rugby resident, was one of the first shoppers in store today, and was thrilled with the new offering. Amy commented: “I was really keen on being one of the first shoppers in store today as I love M&S. The store is looking fantastic and I’m really pleased we’ve now got a much bigger Foodhall in Rugby. I’m looking forward to shopping here in the future.”
The new store will provide shoppers with free car parking, a food ordering service and the popular Shop Your Way service, giving customers the choice to order from the M&S catalogue in-store or online, with free next day in-store delivery and collection.
M&S Elliott’s Field Retail Park is open between 8am and 8pm Monday – Saturday and 10am and 4.30pm on Sundays, with free parking available at the retail park.
Peri Peri lovers can enjoy the tasty menu at Rugby’s first Nando’s restaurant from today.
Nando’s recently announced ‘Per Peri chicken drumsticks’ as its latest addition to the menu.
Stephen Geach, regional managing director of Nando’s, said: “We can’t wait to bring a taste of Peri Peri chicken to Rugby as we open our first Nando’s in the town. Elliott’s Field is a fantastic location and the team is fired up to welcomne locals and visitors alike.”
