Two men who ran a cannabis factory in Brownsover have been sentenced to 27 months in prison after appearing before Warwick Crown Court.
Grzegorz Klocek, 25, and Krzysztof Stanczyk, 33, were arrested and later charged with production and possession with intent to supply cannabis when officers raided a property on Hawkins Road in February 2015.
Officers discovered a large-scale commercial cannabis set-up that had evidence of a recently harvested crop, with a potential street value of between £2,940 and £3,360.
They also seized £1,520 in cash and the cannabis-growing equipment that was present in the property.
Detective Inspector Neal Candelent of Warwickshire Police said: “This was a positive result and sends out a strong message to those growing cannabis for profit, that they will be found and brought to justice.
“It is our priority to keep Rugby a safe place by removing these drugs from production.”
The men were also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and were forced to forfeit the seized cash.
