Numberplates and laptop computers have been among the items stolen in and around Rugby in recent weeks.

Between midnight and 4pm on September 27, burglars forced open the front door of a vacant home in The Green, Long Lawford and stole several items.

During the night of September 27 into 28, intruders entered a home in Holbrook Avenue, Rugby through a bathroom window. Once inside, they stole several laptop computers.

Between 8.30am and 8.10pm on September 29, offenders entered a secure home in Leicester Road, Rugby after smashing the patio doors. Once inside, the burglars ransacked every room before making off with many items.

During the night of September 29 and 30, offenders stole the numberplates of a van parked outside of a home in Wood Lane, Shilton.

And at around 4pm on October 2, the owner of a van parked in School Street, Wolston, disturbed two criminals who were breaking into the back of his van. The two males, aged around 19 years, made off towards Warwick Road and the A45. Severe damage was caused to the van but nothing was stolen.
