Rugby’s MP swapped his suit for a red uniform as he joined the Rangers patrolling the town.
Mark Pawsey, wearing a t-shirt and cap, accompanied a senior ranger and start the day with a safety briefing, before patrolling the town carrying out customer service visits, dealing with incidents and working with the emergency services if required.
Aftab Gaffar, Managing Director of Rugby First said: “Although Mark is very familiar with the work of Rugby First and the Rangers this is the first time he has been on patrol with them. There is no doubt he will be surprised and impressed with what they have to deal with on a daily basis and how professionally they manage it.
“The Rangers are the most recognisable and friendly face of Rugby First and we are very proud of them. I am delighted that Mark has taken time out of his busy schedule to find out more about the Rangers and the work they and Rugby First are involved with.”
Mark Pawsey, MP for Rugby said: “The Rangers are well known and respected in Rugby and help ensure the town centre is clean, safe, friendly and welcoming for all those people who live, work and visit the centre. I am really looking forward to working alongside them for a day.”
