Award-winning Kian Jackson-Taylor has just returned from a successful dance competition in Amsterdam.
He was selected for the European Championships in breakdance and electric boogie.
Kian, who attends Lawrence Sheriff Shcool in Rugby, is now second in the UK and ninth in Europe after wowing the judges in the breakdance category. He finished third in the electric boogie category in the UK and ranked 12th overall in Europe.
Mum Tracie said her son has made her very proud.
She said: “Overall he had a very successful European Championships and Team England achieved good placings in Europe. Kian attends competitions with Street Dance International all over the country and certain ones of their competitions are qualifiers where they qualify one in every six children that enter each event for the All England Championships.”
She said he qualified in street dance and electric boogie - including popping, locking and waving - to enter the All England Championships.
Tracie added: “They also did a breakdance qualifier to select the breakdancers for team England. “We all feel very proud of Kian.”
