Villages in Rugby borough targeted by thieves

Thieves have been targeting homes in Pailton, Monks Kirby, Stretton under Fosse and Shilton during the last week.

Between 11am and 2pm on October 28, burglars got into a house in Coventry Road, Pailton through a rear window.

They stole a chainsaw and an electric drill, both of which were later located in nearby fields.

Between 2.30 and 10am on October 28, thieves got into the back garden of a home in Brockhurst Lane, Monks Kirby and then forced the locks off three sheds.

They stole a portable petrol generator, a Husqvarna chainsaw a Ryobi petrol strimmer, a Mantis portable tiller, a rotovator, a torch and battery along with a portable grill griddle.

Between 3.30 and 5pm on October 28, thieves stole a set of car wheels and an old cooker from the enclosed back garden of a home in Main Street, Stretton under Fosse.

Between 1 and 3pm on October 29, offenders forced out the ground floor kitchen window at a home in Lakin Close, Shilton and then climbed through into the house.

They carried out an untidy search of the master bedroom before stealing three watches.
