VISITORS to Toft Alpaca in Dunchurch came face to face with furry yarn producers at the weekend.

An open day took place at the farm, and people had the chance to meet the alpacas and their young.

Carrie Gardner-Pett, who works at Toft Alpaca, said: “We had an open day for our fifth birthday last year and thought it would be good to have another one this year.

“It was held to celebrate our new studio workshop, and we had activities including giant needling, wet felting for children and cream teas.”

Families enjoyed walks with the alpacas and a tour of the 60-acre farm.

“Everyone had a fantastic time,” added Carrie.

“There really was something for all ages.”
