Dunchurch volunteer Ann Wright signed up to help fundraise for Warwicskhire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance after taking part in her first collection.
She is now encouraging others to spare a bit of time to keep the air ambulance flying.
Ann said: “It was an absolute blast and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
“So many had a connection with the air ambulance and told me their story. It completely affirmed the importance of the work that the charity does and how it impacts on the lives of so many local people.”
Ann, a retired admin worker, will be donning the yellow air ambulance tabard and shaking her collection bucket three times during this year’s Air Ambulance Week.
She is looking forward to returning twice to Wyevale Garden Centre on the outskirts of Rugby, where she enjoyed talking to shoppers last year, and also collecting at the town’s branch of Sainsbury’s.
Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance’s major appeal runs from September 17 - 25. Visit website www.theairambulanceservice.org.uk/give or call 08454 130999 to find out more.
