A war memorial exhibition commemorating the First World War is being held in Napton this weekend.

The event is being staged by Napton Women’s Institute in the village hall.

People with war memorabilia have been invited to loan items to the exhibition telling their family stories with artefacts, pictures and documents.

Clare Sleight, who has been co-ordinating the event, said: “People have been very generously sorting through their attics to find all sorts of things to tell their family story.

“Contributors have told me how much they have enjoyed learning about their family history and putting together their exhibits.”

The exhibition is open from 10.30 until 1pm and then from 2pm until 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
