TO CELEBRATE their headlining set at the Great British Weekend tomorrow (Friday) Warwick Castle presented a bespoke Coat of Arms to X Factor alumni Olly Murs and Alexandra Burke 2 days before their performance.

The pop prince and princess were gifted the Coat of Arms which is a modern take on the traditional emblem - normally associated with royalty and aristocracy.

Alex and Olly’s Coat of Arms features a diamond-encrusted mic representing Alexandra, a pork pie for Olly and two stunning peacocks which are synonymous with the gorgeous grounds of Warwick Castle.

Alexandra said: “I can’t wait to team up with Olly at the spectacular Warwick Castle and I felt particularly honoured to have been presented with this fun, quirky Coat of Arms to mark the event. I’m really excited about the gig – it’s going to be great night!”

The Great British Weekend takes place from Friday to Sunday and will welcome the two stars for a poptastic Friday night show that will open a weekend of spectacular music at the breathtaking venue.

Teen pop/rock outfit Twenty Twenty and Liverpudlian singer/songwriter Chelcee Grimes will also be supporting the favourites.

Now in its thirteenth year, the event will also host the welcome return of the UK’s greatest Proms concert on the Saturday night featuring The Three Welsh Tenors, English National Orchestra and theatre conductor Jae Alexander, in addition to a soul night as a tribute to Michael Jackson on the Sunday.

Offering visitors three fantastic and very different days out, the event promises something for all the family to enjoy. To book visit www.warwick-castle.com or call 0845 296 0000.
