Warwick church restoration

The vicar, Rev Linda Duckers, is pleased that five new stone pinnacles, similar to the ones that stood on the church when it first opened in 1785, have now been replaced.

These have been faithfully copied by stonemason Rob Heath using a old drawing of the church made before the pinnacles were removed.

The ceremony to mark the end of the latest phase of conservation was expected to be held next week but has had to be delayed.

All the work, including saving a stained glass window, has been done thanks to 
major grants from English Heritage, the Wren landfill trust, an historic churches trust, the district counciland the determined fund-raising efforts of the congregation.
