Warwick Hospital norovirus: restricted visiting allowed

A BAN on visitors from entering Warwick Hospital due to an outbreak of a vomiting bug has been eased.

Following last week’s outbreak of norovirus at the site in Lakin Road, restricted visiting is now allowed, except for on the Mary and Guy wards, where no visitors will be permitted.

On all other wards, close family members of patients are being permitted between 6pm and 8pm each day.

Due to some bays still being affected by the outbreak of the illness, only two visitors per bed are allowed and no one under 16, nor anyone who is not an immediate family member will be admitted.

Everyone entering the hospital must wash their hands using soap and water before and after visiting wards.

Anyone who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the last 48 hours should not visit.
