Five Princethorpe College netballers have gained selection into their age group Warwickshire squad.

U14 players Lucy Gribben and Anneliesa Douglas, both Year 7, and Year 8 players Maddie Glasspool and Emelia Tubb were delighted to have received invitational letters after having taken part in four separate selection days.

For Emilia, this will be her second year playing at county level.

Out of a pool of 200 girls from 20 schools across the county the Princethorpe contingent will join either the Development or Progression teams playing against other counties across the country.

U16 Wing-Attack Emily Nicholls was also given the green card.

Head of Girls’ Games Debs Brookes, said: “These players have made exceptional progress. Special congratulations has to go to both Lucy and Anneliesa who, despite being a year below age group, have impressed the selectors sufficiently for them to have been invited to represent their county.”
