Warwickshire Police appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision on the M6 near Rugby

POLICE are asking any witnesses to a serious crash on the M6 yesterday (Monday) to come forward.

The collision happened on the M6 southbound yesterday between junction one for Rugby and the exit for the A14 at the Catthorpe Interchange.

The collision involved two articulated lorries - a Renault artic lorry with a white cab and blue curtain sided trailer with the company name on it, and a Volvo artic with a white cab and white trailer in Morrison’s markings.

The driver of the blue curtain sided lorry suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “Police would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the M6 in either direction between 11am – 11.30am who may have seen the two lorries that were travelling southbound.”
