Warwickshire police chief’s first live ‘chat’

WARWICKSHIRE Police’s Chief Constable is “delighted” by the feedback he has received after he trialled the force’s first online ‘chat’.

Chief Cons Andy Parker was answering questions via the internet for a period yesterday (Thursday) evening on a range of topics, including road policing and initiatives to tackle crime.

He said: “I am delighted with the success of this first online chat and with the amount of positive feedback we received which proves that there is an appetite for this type of communication.

“I would like to thank everyone who took part last night for their questions, comments and patience. It was a learning cure for us and we will take the lessons learned into our planning for future events.

“I fully intend to repeat this and look forward to chatting to more members of the community online.”

Details of future online chats will be published when made available.
